And The Injured Ones Return

The two major football injury/issue stories of the off-season (excluding Willie Parker, who will more than likely be fine), Pat Bostick and Lawrence Timmons, will be or have both returned to practice.

Bostick is reportedly on his way back from Mannheim Township tonight, with no further light being shined on the situation which pulled him away from the team. At the moment, he is not the favorite to win the Panthers’ starting quarterback job, that would be Bill Stull, but Bostick will still start at some point this season. Dave Wannstedt should be very excited about this news.

In Steeler news, our nemesis Lawrence Timmons returned to the practice field on Monday for the first time since July 26. The first-round pick received an injection meant to reduce the inflammation in his groin last Friday in Philadelphia. It’s about time to see what the young linebacker can do. Maybe he’ll outperform LaMaar Woodley . . . or maybe Daniel Sepulveda will prove to be the better tackler.
