Daniel Moskos did not have a very happy birthday

Daniel Moskos turned 22 on Monday and, as a present, received a start for Lynchburg against the Myrtle Beach Pelicans. Apparently, the Pelicans didn’t get the memo that it was Moskos’ birthday and decided to give him the equivalent of a present for his siblings.

Moskos surrendered six runs off of six hits in five innings. He did manage to strike out two batters, but also walked two. Somewhere, Dave Littlefield laughed manically, thinking that in back to back days he cost the Pirates $10 million and saw his worst draft pick implode on his birthday. If there was any doubt about the result of the game, the Pirates’ affiliate lost, 8-7.
