In addition to its defensive prowess, the Tri-State offense has also been very effective, averaging nearly 70 points per game during that same time frame.
The Tri-State program has produced a number of Division I college basketball players, including former Indiana University star Eric Gordon. Gordon was named Mr. Basketball in Indiana as a senior in 2007 and went on to have a successful career with the Hoosiers before being drafted by the Los Angeles Clippers in 2008. Other notable Tri-State alumni include current NBA players Zach Randolph and George Hill.

Tri State Sports: Evansville Sports
The Tri-State Tigers are a basketball team based in Evansville, Indiana. The team is a member of the National Basketball League (NBL) and plays its home games at the Ford Center.
The Tri-State Tigers were founded in 2006 as an expansion team of the NBL. The team’s name refers to the tri-state area of Illinois, Indiana, and Kentucky.
In their inaugural season, the Tigers finished with a record of 19ufffd41 and did not make the playoffs. The following season, they improved to 28ufffd32 but again missed the playoffs. In 2008ufffd09, they made their first playoff appearance, losing in the first round to the eventual NBL champions, the Rockford Lightning.
The 2009ufffd10 season was shortened due to financial problems within the league and as a result, the Tigers only played 28 games. They finished with a record of 12ufffd16 and did not make the playoffs.
After sitting out the 2010ufffd11 season, the Tigers returned to action in 2011ufffd12 and made it back to the playoffs after finishing with a 26ufffd30 record. However, they once again lost in the first round ufffd this time to division rivals Louisville Stallions.
In 2012ufffd13, Evansville hostedthe NBL All-Star Gameand also reachedthe postseason forthe thirdstraight year despite finishingwitha below-.500recordof 25ufffd27. Theyweredefeatedinthe openingroundoftheplayoffsbytheOmaha Energyinwhatwouldprovetobethe finalgameinthefranchise’shistoryasitfoldedsoonafterwardsduetofinancialdifficulties
